Football club Dnipro was banned from the European championships for one season because of the club’s salary debt to its former coach.
The Dnipro owner, billionaire oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky argued that the
club needs to stop paying high salaries for bad results, citing the
recent failure of the national team at the UEFA Euro 2016 in France,
where several members of Dnipro played.
