On Aug. 15 the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine released testimony by its employees according to which they were tortured by prosecutors linked to President Petro Poroshenko’s grey cardinal, lawmaker Oleksandr Hranovsky.

Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko first failed to react for five days
and then said both sides could be guilty, ignoring demands to suspend or
fire the prosecutors.
