22 countries show off their national costumes in Kyiv

Twenty two foreign embassies in Ukraine took part in a vast project made to showcase national costumes of countries around the world.

Argentina, Belarus, Bulgaria, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, Moldova, UAE, Pakistan, Palestine, Sudan, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan all participated and shared a part of their culture.

The event was initiated and organized by the Ukrainian project “Outlook” that focuses on cultural diplomacy and media. The idea was supported by the Institute of international relations, part of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and charitable organization “The Institute of International Relations Development Fund.”

A specially-created headcrown with ribbons in colors of flags of the participating countries, symbolizing the unity of different nations and their cultures, was also presented at the event.
