Activists demand that Germany increase pledge to Global Fund

On July 1, activists from the Ukrainian associations of the AIDS and tuberculosis patients protested next to the Embassy of Germany in Ukraine, demanding that Germany increase its donations to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

About 30 activists from the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Gay Alliance and HIV patients demanded that Germany follow the example of Japan and Canada and increase the financing of the Global Fund.

In the beginning of 2013, Germany committed to give 1 billion to the Global Fund over the next five years.
