Activists mark International Sex Worker Rights Day

Around 20 human rights activists and sex workers marched Kyiv streets to mark the International Sex Worker Rights Day on March 3.

The activists demanded the government to legalize prostitution and ensure sex workers’ rights. The event was organized by Ukrainian charitable organization Legalife-Ukraine, which helps sex workers protect their rights.

The activists gathered near Ukrainian parliament Verkhovna Rada and moved to the building of the government, Cabinet of Ministers, finishing their walk near presidential administration.

Apart from activists, who were guarded by several police officers, there was another group of people near parliament who calling for “traditional family values”.
