The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine held its annual Independence Day picnic at the Art-Zavod Platforma arts center in Kyiv on July 1, attracting more than 3,000 people to a day of food, fun and music.

Chamber president Andriy Hunder hosted the event, which was attended by U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie L. Yovanovitch, Ukrainian officials and politicians, and leading figures from the business community in Kyiv.

The event was the 26th one held by the Chamber, which started holding Independence Day picnics in 1992, just a a year after Ukraine gained Independence.

As well as playing games, exercising and eating all-American foods like hot dogs, the chamber’s picnic guests were entertained by an evening concert featuring the famous Ukrainian musician Oleh Skrypka.
