Parliament passed a conditional amnesty law on Jan. 29 which stipulates that all detained protesters will be released and freed from criminal and civil prosecution if EuroMaidan demonstrators vacate government buildings within 15 days.
The opposition balked at the bill’s one-sided terms and also said they do not trust the government to honor it.
