One member of the Ukrainian National Guard was killed and up to 90 people were wounded in clashes outside parliament in Kyiv after lawmakers gave initial approval to constitutional changes granting more autonomy to Russian-occupied portions of in eastern Ukraine.
Ukrainian Interior Ministry advisor and
top lawmaker Anton Gerashchenko wrote on Facebook that attackers threw a
hand grenade at National Guard troops guarding the building in what he
called an “act of provocation.”
