Every year tourists travel to Finland to visit Santa Claus Village in Lapland and witness the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) which are visible for around 200 nights a year. It's vast lake district and coastal archipelago also make it a perfect summer vacation destination when temperatures can reach up to 20 degrees Celsius. The Finnish Embassy in Ukraine issues around 15,000 tourist visas to Ukrainians a year, according to the Finnish Ambassador to Ukraine Juha Virtanen.

Most Finnish people speak excellent English and some speak Russian, which makes it an easy place for Ukrainians to visit. The average cost of a week’s stay with Ukr-Fin Tour, including flights, is between 800-1,200 euros. A less luxury experience costs around 500 euros.
