State Fiscal Service Chief Roman Nasirov, who was suspended by the Cabinet of Ministers on March 3, arrived at a late-night court hearing in his criminal case while lying on a stretcher. The embattled official has claimed heart problems since his arrest by National Anti-corruption Bureau detectives. Nasirov’s arrival came after an anonymous bomb threat to the courthouse, which further delayed the proceedings. A Solomyansky District Court judge delayed a hearing on whether to prolong Nasirov’s detention to the next morning, on March 5.
