On September 8 nearly 20 activists gathered for a flashmob "I'm a tree - so cut me" to bring attention to save trees near National Historic Museum of Ukraine on Sept. 8.

Goal of the event was to draw attention of the public, media and officials to the illegal “cut” trees and to encourage action to protect Kyiv hills.

According to activists 164 trees of different species, age and diameter were cut down by Sept. 7.
