Kyiv hosts international arms exhibition (PHOTOS)

In the run-up of the Defenders Day of Ukraine celebrated on Oct. 14, the country’s defense and security bloc held a three-day arms and military equipment exhibition in Kyiv.

The event gathered some 400 state and private companies from Ukraine, Poland, Turkey, Pakistan, Switzerland, Czech Republic, France, the United States, Germany, Lithuania, Italy, Israel, and Bulgaria, United Arab Emirates, and China.

Ukraine’s state defense corporation UkrOboronProm presented its latest product – air defense missile system Romashka and tank support combat vehicle Strazh. It also showcased a four-wheeled armoured personnel carrier Dozor-B, new modifications of BTR-3 and BTR-4 APCs, armored cars Kozak and Varta.

Ukraine ranked 9th among world’s major arms exporters, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.
