Around 400 people came to the building of the President’s Office on June 27, 2020 to demand to legalize medical marijuana in Ukraine. The protesters held placards and danced.

Currently, medicinal cannabis is forbidden in the country.

Back in October 2019, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the law that would regulate the medical use of cannabis would not be considered in the near future.

“I know that many people want to do this business in Ukraine. But we can discuss this only when we know that we are really talking about medical marijuana,” Zelensky said back then. “Not now, it’s not a priority.”
