Ukrainian soldiers found Simba, the lion cub, in the country’s war-torn eastern region Donbas when he was three months old. The cub was wandering the streets near Luhansk alone.
Now the 11-month-old lion lives in a shelter in Kyiv while his guardians look for a suitable new home for him.
