Mezhyhirya Festival, an annual gathering of investigative journalists, took place for the fourth time on June 10-11 in the former residence of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych in Novi Petrivtsi village in Kyiv Oblast. The festival has been taking place in the disgraced ex-president’s former mansion as a way to celebrate journalism, award the best investigations, and mark the Journalist Day, celebrated in Ukraine on June 6. The 2017 Mezhyhirya Festival focused on the challenges of the “post-truth” world, disruption of the traditional understanding of facts and truth, and how journalism should react to these challenges.
