Bank Mikhailivsky depositors gather in central Kyiv on Nov. 3. The bank, which collapsed in May, offered deposits at sky-high interest rates which weren’t insured by the Deposit Guarantee Fund. Former owner Viktor Polishchuk, who sold his share in the bank a day before it collapsed, denies any wrongdoing, and argues that Platinum Bank took over Mikhailivsky’s loan portfolio.
