Momentum propels tens of thousands of protesters for 11th consecutive Sunday

Buoyed by Western support at the Munich Security Conference on Feb. 1, Ukraine's opposition leaders returned to Kyiv for a rally that drew tens of thousands of supporters. The leaders and EuroMaidan activists renewed their commitment to force President Viktor Yanukovych to resign from office and call early presidential and parliamentary elections. Yanukovych, whose press service announced he is feeling better and will return to work tomorrow after a respiratory illness, has signaled that he will make no more concessions behind what he accepted last week: the resignation of Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, the repeal of anti-free speech laws and adoption of amnesty provisions to free more than 100 EuroMaidan activists detained.
