On July 9-10, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg made a visit to Kyiv in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Charter on Distinctive Partnership between Ukraine and the 29-nation alliance.

During the trip, Stoltenberg reassured that NATO would continue supporting Ukraine in its transformation to a democracy and the defensive war against Russia’s invasion of the Donbas, as well as illegal annexation. of Crimea.

With Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Stoltenberg chaired a Ukraine-NATO Commission meeting at the Presidential Administration and then met Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.

Later in the day, Stoltenberg addressed Ukrainian lawmakers at the Verkhovna Rada.
