At the Hilton Kyiv Hotel on March 28, hundreds of people celebrated Pakistan Day during a reception that included diplomats, politicians, pop singers and journalists. The event commemorates the South Asia nation's March 23, 1940, Lahore Resolution, which paved the way for national independence in 1947 after the end of British colonial rule and partition of British India.
