Hundreds of Kyivans on Aug. 27 came to Independence Square in Kyiv to cheer up the Paralympic Team before their departure to Rio de Janeiro to take part in 2016 Summer Paralympics.
The games that will take place on Sept, 7-16 will see the most numerous Ukrainian team ever. A total of 172 athletes will compete in 15 disciplines, with Ukrainians having all the reasons to keep their hopes high. During the two latest Paralympics – in London and Beijing – Ukrainian team’s medals count landed it among top-5 best teams.
