Around 20 demobilized soldiers arrived at Kyiv's main train station on April 24 after being demobilized from the war zone in the east of the country

The soldiers were from the Ukrainian army’s 128th Brigade. The brigade took part in fighting for the town of Debaltseve in eastern Ukraine in February 2015, when anti-government armed groups, almost certainly supported by Russian regular arm infantry and tank units, captured the town in violation of a ceasefire that had been agreed just days before in peace talks in the Belarusian capital Minsk.
