Ukrainian soldiers have marched in Kyiv to rehearse the Independence Day parade scheduled for Aug. 24. Besides the first rehearsal held on Aug. 16, the Ukrainian military will also practice on Aug. 18 and Aug. 22.

The Independence Day military parade will start at 10 a. m. on Aug. 24 and will proceed along Khreshchatyk Street and Maidan Nezalezhnosti. More than 4,500 uniformed soldiers will participate, including almost 1,000 soldiers who have fought in the war-torn Donbas, where Russia’s invasion has killed 10,000 people since 2014.
