Two dozen students protested near the Verkhovna Rada on Dec. 14, demanding higher state scholarships.
In Ukraine, the students of public colleges get a small monthly scholarship from the state, that currently is around $26. The government has recently suggested stopping the payments. The students demand that the payments continue, and go up.
