Supporters of Ukraine launch protests in New York ahead of Putin’s UN speech

Several dozen supporters of Ukraine held protests on Sept. 27 in New York and are planning to hold them again today. The public demonstrations are coming in advance of Russian President Vladimir Putin's speech before the United Nations General Assembly on Sept. 28. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will also speak. The Ukrainian Congressional Committee of America and Razom for Ukraine are among the organizations supporting the rallies. The Putin and Poroshenko will be broadcast after 7 p.m. Kyiv Time at www.un.org.
