At least 90 people have been killed, 1,000 wounded and 754 detained in a night of violence across Turkey sparked when elements in the military staged an attempted coup, Turkish state-owned Anadolu news agency said.
The majority of those killed were civilians and most of those detained
are soldiers. This marks a grimy aftermath of the failed attempt of a coup d’etat which took place in Turkey overnight on July 15-16.
