The 38th Ukrainian Fashion Week that started on March 17 gathers 86 fashion designers who present their Autumn-Winer 2016-2017 collections in Mystetsky Arsenal. Fashion Week is one of the biggest events in Ukrainian fashion industry with 18,000 people expected to visit shows.
Lilya Poustovit’s show at the main catwalk traditionally opened the Fashion Week.
Other Ukrainian brands who showed their collections
on the first day were Elena Burenina, Yuliya Polishchuk, Golets, Label One,
Bobkova, Alexey Zalevskiy and Viktor Anisimov.
Besides the fashion shows, the organizers will hold the
special events. One of them is a battle of tailors, a competition held between
three men’s suit designers creating the perfect outfits for celebrities.
The Fashion Week has various corners with Ukrainian-made
footwear, jewelry and headwear.
The list of event includes public lectures by Giovanni Ottonello, creative director of Istituto Europeo di Design, representatives of footwear companies Vagabond and Timberland.
