Florists from all over Ukraine gathered at the courtyard of St. Sophia's Cathedral in central Kyiv on Sept. 19 to participate in a two-day National Florists Championship.
The Kyiv Post photographed the florists preparing for the championship on the eve of the opening date.
The championship made a special focus on the wedding theme. The participants competed to create the best wedding arch, as well as the best korovay – a traditional Ukrainian wedding bread.
