One of the most famous Ukrainian pop-rock bands, Okean Elzy, headed by musician-turned-politician Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, has given another impressive show in Kyiv.

On May 26, or Kyiv Day, the band rocked on a 360-degree round stage located in the center of the capital’s VDNH exhibition center. Thousands of fans surrounded the stage as the band was performing.

Okean Elzy announced on their Facebook page that almost 100,000 people attended the event.

“You are our cosmos!” the band posted on Facebook on May 27.

Vakarchuk recently announced that he is running for parliament with his new party Holos (meaning “Voice” in Ukrainian). The parliamentary elections were originally scheduled to take place in October but a snap parliamentary election was ordered by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to be held on July 21.
