Some 80 people gathered for #PulseOfEurope meeting in Kyiv on April 10 to celebrate the fundamental idea of the European Union and European values.
Pulse of Europe is a civil movement that emerged as a response to growing populism and euroscepticism in Europe. Every Sunday, adherents of the idea of a united Europe gather in 62 cities in different countries in order to show their commitment to universal – and in particular European – values.
This is the second time a Pulse of Europe gathering has taken place in Kyiv. Participants brought flags, balloons and symbols of the European Union. They had discussions with each other and celebrated the EU parliament’s vote for visa liberalization for Ukraine that took place on April 6.
