Ukranian swimmers win medals at FINA World Championships in Budapest (PHOTOS)

Ukrainian team of swimmers has participated in one of the world’s biggest – in terms of participation and global exposure – aquatics sporting contests, winning in total 9 medals.

The biennial FINA World Aquatics Championships took place in Budapest this time and lasted from July 14 to July 30. The Ukrainian team has won two silver and seven bronze, good enough for 18th place among 182 countries. FINA stands for International Swimming Federation.

The championships were the largest sporting event Hungary has hosted, attracting 3,000 athletes in six different disciplines, competing in 75 contests over a period of 17 days.
