An antigovernment protest took place in Montenegro’s capital, Podgorica, on March 2. The number of protesters was estimated at more than 10,000. The protesters were calling for the resignations of President Milo Djukanovic and other government and judiciary officials, whom they accuse of turning a blind eye to corruption.
