German Ambassador to Ukraine Hans-Jurgen Heimsoeth has said that there are no positive changes in the fight against corruption in Ukraine.

"Real improvements in terms of corruption are not being seen. Moreover, there are voices claiming the opposite. It’s a pity that the non-transparency of economic activity remains consistently high and that privatization process es are not very clear," he said in an interview with the the Ukraina Moloda newspaper.

Heimsoeth said that the number of Ukrainian investors in Germany was growing.

"They are impressed how well they are regarded there and what support they get while preparing for and making their investment," he said.

He said that unfortunately, there is no interest from German investors in Ukraine.

"Moreover, there could even be cases of the revocation of investment, because legal uncertainty is very deep, and the actions of regional authorities are willful. Therefore, German companies find better conditions in other countries," Heimsoeth said.
