You're reading: Tax administration to check on TV channels of Inter media group

The State Tax Administration in Kyiv is intending in January-March 2012 to perform checks on three channels of the Inter media group, according to a press release from the administration.

The tax administration will check on Ukrainian Independent TV Corporation (Inter TV channel), as well as Mega and K2 channels.

In addition, Poverkhnost Sport-TV Ltd. will be inspected in the period.

As reported, Ukrainian Independent TV Corporation is part of U.A. Inter Media Group Ltd., which indirectly owns 61% in the company. The media group, whose major shareholder is Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Valeriy Khoroshkovsky, also owns 90% in Kino-TV (Enter Film TV channel), 90% in Music TV (Enter Music), 60% in Television Information Service (NTN), 100% in the TV channels of K1, K2, Megasport, and the Ukrainian News agency. It also has other media assets in Ukraine and abroad.
