The shadow economy is a part of the current political system, and that's why taking business out of the shadows will only be possible via a change in this system, presidential candidate Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
He said this during a video link-up between Boryspil and 10 other populated areas of Kyiv region, the press service of the politician reported on Nov. 18.
"Business serves politics, [and] politics serves business. These are fully related things, they are inseparable," Yatseniuk said.
"Nothing will change if the political system is not changed, if state power is not taken away from them the [current representatives of the power], and the parliament, president, government, and, the most important, the personalities are not changed. The changes will take place only if the system is completely different," Yatseniuk said.
According to him, the most difficult task will be to break the political clan system that has been built up over the last 18 years.
