Ukraine's government has assigned Hr 20 million to clean up damage from an explosion in Luhansk hospital No. 7, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has said.

"We have assigned Hr 20 million, and I think this will be enough to conduct all the rescue operations, fully restore the hospital’s operation and purchase new equipment. The most important thing is to help the families of those killed," Tymoshenko told reporters in Luhansk on Jan. 18.

According to preliminary investigations, the explosion was caused by the improper transportation of an oxygen cylinder, the premier said.

"A special commission led by the emergencies minister was set up and a special meeting of the government was held in the morning. The government has provided all the necessary resources, and taken all the necessary actions," Tymoshenko said.
