You're reading: Agreement on Black Sea Fleet may be denounced, says Yatseniuk

Arseniy Yatseniuk, leader of the Ukrainian party Front for Change, says the agreement on extending the presence of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea ratified by the parliament can be denounced in accordance with Vienna law.

"The agreement has been ratified. However, there are no eternal politicians and no eternal agreements. The agreement can be denounced under Vienna law," Yatseniuk was quoted by his party’s pres service as saying on Tuesday.

Commenting on the situation in the parliament during the voting on the ratification of the document, Yatseniuk said: "Such things have never happened in the history of the Ukrainian parliament before. What the parliament speaker has done today means only one thing: the country will become a reflection of the conflict in the parliament. They have smelled blood and now they will go further. However, every beginning has its end. They will break their neck eventually."

Yatseniuk also said Front for Change will continue collecting signatures against the Kharkiv agreements.
