Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has held a working meeting with the Head of the Crimean Council of Ministers, Vasyl Dzharty, and gave a range of orders, the president's press service reported on Tuesday, May 11.
The president ordered the drawing up of a draft law on the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to determine the authorities of the Crimean Council of Ministers and agencies of the executive branch, and submit it for the Ukrainian parliament’s consideration
The president also ordered the drawing up of draft laws on the settlement of land issues in Crimea and issues of the management of property belonging to the autonomy for submission to Ukraine’s parliament.
Yanukovych also charged the Crimean government with creating an interdepartmental working group to prepare a decision on the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait.
The president ordered the elaboration of a draft law on the functioning of free trade zones and territories of promising development of Crimea.
The Crimean government was also charged with providing priority financing of actions to increase the reliability of the electricity supply, develop road infrastructure, build, maintain and repair main and local roads, modernize central water supply and drainage systems in populated areas, and develop city electric transport.
Yanukovych ordered the carrying out of repair and restoration works on the house and museum of Anton Chekhov in Yalta, and work on issues of the activity of privatization agencies.
