The coverage of an opposition rally on Ukrainian TV channels demonstrates the absence of censorship by the government, Vice Premier Volodymyr Semynozhenko has said.

"All of you noted that the TV channels broadcast yesterday’s news about the opposition rally comprehensively for the benefit of the opposition. Even the UT-1 [national TV channel] reported something like ‘the opposition won’… One can find no pressure from the side of the government on the coverage of opposition rally in yesterday’s programs," he said at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday.

According to Semynozhenko, the government does everything possible for there to be no reason to claim there is pressure on the opposition.
