The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has said that technical issues still are to be resolved to achieve the extradition of convicted Ukrainian sailors from Venezuela to Ukraine.
"Last week a full package of documents was handed to the Venezuelan side," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Oleksandr Dikusarov said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
According to him, in the light of this it is possible to say that this issue has been resolved from the side of Ukraine.
With regard to the Venezuelan side, according Dikusarov, a political agreement on extradition has been declared, and at present only technical issues are being solved. In addition, he said that Ukraine had also sent relevant documents to the Spanish Foreign Ministry, as the convicted Ukrainian citizens will be transported via the territory of Spain.
