Ukraine's ex-Premier Yulia Tymoshenko has written a letter to her supporters from the detention facility, in which she called on the people of Ukraine to unite.
"Now we need to stay united like never before. Every word of support, every common victory is precious. The courage and unity of honest people is something that every dictator is afraid of, it is something that overthrows regimes," Tymoshenko said in her letter, which is published on the website of her official office on Facebook.
Tymoshenko said she is convinced that Ukraine is now facing a choice between "light and darkness."

"Night is the darkest before dawn. The dawn is near for Ukraine, it is being brought closer by our common efforts," Tymoshenko said.
Tymoshenko was arrested two months ago.
Kyiv’s Pechersky District Court will hand out a sentence in the Tymoshenko case on Oct. 11.
