Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych wants Petro Poroshenko to work in the government on the post of economic development and trade minister.

“I had a long talks with Poroshenko, and his mood, his proposals I heard from him suit me. I’d like him to work [in the government],” the president told reporters on Friday in Kanev.
Yanukovych said that now Poroshenko left Ukraine for a short period of time.
“As soon as he returns, it’s likely that the decision [on his appointment economic development and trade minister] will be made,” Yanukovych said.
The president said that the government has a nomination of Poroshenko for the minister post, although the nomination document has not been submitted to the presidential administration.
