Candidate for Ukrainian president and Regions Party leader Victor Yanukovych has said he is sure that Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko will attempt to influence the results of the upcoming presidential election.
"Tymoshenko only has one option [rigging the election results], because she feels that she’ll lose [the election] and that the overwhelming majority of Ukrainians don’t trust her and her government," he told reporters in Ivano-Frankivsk on Thursday.
Yanukovych said that Tymoshenko’s team would search for new schemes during the election campaign in order to improve the results of the January 17, 2010 election. He also said that "they will fail to do that."
