Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko on Dec. 28 said that Party of Regions leader Victor Yanukovych does not know "in what part of the world his own country is located in."

She said this during a live interview aired by ICTV televistion.

"How can Europe take Ukraine seriously when, for example, the opposition leader, having arrived at some international symposium, confuses Montenegro with Kosovo? He doesn’t know what we’re talking about when the discussion turns to Ossetia.

"He does not understand, and cannot comprehend intellectually, what is being discussed," said Tymoshenko. "He confuses Austria with Australia. Maybe they have kangaroos there [in Austria], but they probably look funny."

Like Yanukovych, former US President George W. Bush in 2007 also famously confused Austria with Australia.
