Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has been elected the new head of the Regions Party.
Delegates at the 12th Regions Party congress unanimously voted for the decision in Kyiv on Friday, an Interfax-Ukraine reporter said.
Azarov is currently fulfilling the duties of the party’s head instead of President Viktor Yanukovych, who suspended his membership of the party following his election as Ukrainian president.
