YEREVAN – Armenia could be a channel of the dialogue between NATO and Russia, Armenian Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan said.

“Even assuming that everything is going to very bad and all relations will ultimately result in the black and white worldview with a completely impenetrable border of perception between NATO and (countries) to the east of Vienna, then, and particularly in this case, it would be good for Russia to have a partner it understands well, a transparent and quite predictable one, which could serve as a channel of the dialogue,” Sargsyan said at the Valdai International Discussion Club’s visiting session entitled ‘Time of Change: The World in an Era of Global Unpredictability’ in Yerevan on Saturday.

There is nothing secret in Armenia’s cooperation with NATO, he said. “Nothing secret is happening there. Armenia believes the mechanism of participation in international events is very important,” Sargsyan said.
