The Kremlin confirmed today Mr Trump and Mr Putin met on the sidelines of the summit in Buenos Aires at a dinner for world leaders. A Moscow aide said the meeting lasted for about 10-15 minutes and the two presidents mostly discussed Ukraine, although it was not confirmed what other topics came up in their conversation. The meeting came after the White House called off official talks with President Putin and said Mr Trump would not meet his Russian counterpart at all.
