Vladimir Putin dismissed as “hysteria” allegations that Moscow was interfering in the US presidential election by hacking US political parties and organisations.

Russia’s president also denied as “nonsense” suggestions that Republican candidate Donald Trump was a “favourite of Moscow”, saying he was ready to work with whichever president was elected “if they are ready to work with us”.
