MOSCOW – A group of foreign parliamentarians, including members of the European Parliament (MEPs), will visit Crimea on March 19-21 at the invitation of A Just Russia party, its spokesperson said on Friday.

“Representatives from foreign countries will pay a visit to the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol at the initiative of A Just Russia party on March 19-21,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

The foreign delegation will include MEPs, as well as parliamentarians from the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Serbia, and representatives from political parties and movements from the United Kingdom, Serbia, Brazil and several other countries.

The program will include visiting various parts of the peninsula, touring local places of interest and meetings with regional officials and religious representatives.

“At our invitation, most representatives from foreign countries, primarily EU ones, will travel to Crimea after an international conference in St. Petersburg due to be held by A Just Russia to mark the 100th anniversary of the Russian revolution on March 18,” party leader Sergei Mironov said.

Many of the guests will be visiting Crimea for the first time, he said.
