MOSCOW – Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif over the phone on Jan. 3 to discuss the killing of Iran’s military chief Qassem Soleimani, the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement.
