U.S. satellite start-up OneWeb has offered to sell a minority stake to Russia, a move it hopes will allay Moscow’s concerns about the company’s plan to create a worldwide internet network using satellites, three sources familiar with the matter said.

This NOAA/NASA image released January 23, 2017, shows the release of the first image from NOAAs newest satellite, GOES-16, in the latest step in a new age of weather satellites. This composite color image was captured on January 15, 2017, and was created using several of the 16 spectral channels available on the GOES-16 Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) instrument. GOES-16 observes Earth from an equatorial view approximately 22,300 miles high.
